01-04:   March 1975  TW Studios, Fulham, London, UK
06,08-10:    10 December 1975    Potter's Studios, Mytchett, Surrey, UK
05,07:   28 May 1976  Potter's Studios, Mytchett, Surrey, UK
11-13:   September 1976       Potter's Studios, Mytchett, Surrey, UK

These studio demos by The Jam surfaced a few years back and are included on two bootleg cds, along with certain "demos" from later in the band's recording career (some of which are actually from John Peel sessions or are tracks that had already appeared in pristine remixed form on official releases such as "Extras" and disc 5 of the "Direction, Reaction, Creation" box set).
Presented here are the 13 demos from 1975 and 1976, none of which have been officially released. I applied some EQ to them to bring out the top-end as best I could. Considering the quality and age of the source tapes, these tracks sound pretty good and showcase the band in the period when new up-tempo numbers were being written alongside the "Motown by numbers" songs that had hitherto been the mainstay of their live set. Several of the tracks went on to be included on the first album, albeit in substantially reworked "new wave" form. -ORIGINAL

The band played a much larger venue than usual, opening for the the Ramones on January 7, 1978.
Our seats were pretty far back, and the gig was great for a theater show, One of things I remember the most about this concert was an incident involving the intermission. As the lights went down after the Runaways finished their set and we waited for the Ramones, suddenly the intermission music started, which was the opening chords of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. The audience became suddenly very tensely quiet, waiting… When it became clear it was really Beethoven’s Fifth, and not the dreadful Walter Murphy travesty, "A Fifth of Beethoven," the audience gave a huge sigh of relief and the conversations started once again. We were punks, but we were not ignorant masochists.
info taken from ffanzeen.blogspot.com

Exactly one week after this show was performed at New York's Palladium theater by America's all-female punk band, the Runaways, the Sex Pistols performed their final show before disbanding at Winterland in San Francisco. It was somehow appropriate that both the key male and female punk bands were breaking down at the same time, because in just over a year, the Runaways would be history, too.
This performance, although pretty rockin', shows a band that was in the early stages of falling apart. The initial major-label line up which included singer Cherrie Curie, bassist Jackie Fox, drummer Sandy West, and guitarists Joan Jett and Lita Ford, had now been stripped down to a quartet of West, Jett (now on lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Ford, and new bassist Vicki Blue. The group had also recently broken ties with longtime manager/producer Kim Fowley (a bizarre music industry veteran and hype-master, who helped launch the LA punk scene with friend/DJ Rodney Bingenheimer), as well as its record label, Mercury. -(info taken from concertvault.com)

Ok, first off, Clapton is drunk. What I'm guessing is because of the day it was recorded. (They say 4th of July tomorrow, but it might have been different) he was drinking to celebrate the holiday. Doesn't seem to make sense to me, because he's English and his country lost the war some 200 years ago last time I checked. But anyways, yes, Clapton is drunk (one indication is that during Can't Find My Way Home he says "oh fuck it!" before playing the solo) but not like completely hammered to pass out. Some of the songs are really slow (Willie and the Hand Jive and Get Ready mainly) and some of the band is trying their best to keep in rhythm with the drunk God's slow playing. All in all, this isn't too bad, but it could have been a bit better. -rateyourmusic.com

"The King Biscuit Flower Hour recorded the show, and broadcasted it in an edited
form. However, this is the concert in it's entirety, as a glorious 2CD set. Seeing this
was professionally recorded, this is of course a fantastic sounding bootleg.
Adding the fact that Kiss were on fire that particular night in Nashville, and you get
one of the best Kiss bootlegs from that era. Granted they didn't play anything out of
the ordinary this date, it is still nice to have such a fine document of what this tour
was all about. Songs like 'Gimme More' and 'Young and Wasted' weren't played
much after this tour, and Vinnie's solo is also off the wall! Eric Carr doing the lead
vocals on 'Black Diamond' is perhaps a little sacrilegious, but it's cool to have it on
disc. Having a full concert, professionally recorded, with this particular line-up, is of
course gold for a Kiss fanatic." -metal-metropolis.com

"You wanted the best? You got the best!! Only, this time, they're not gonna be
wearing any cool make-up. And remember Ace Frehley, their awesome guitar
player? Yeah, he's been replaced by the soulless, mechanical wankery of Vinnie
Vincent. Plus, Paul Stanley's stage banter is only slightly less embarrassing than
wetting your pants on the first day of school - other than all that, THE BEST!!"

'Through A Cloud Of Smoke'
Studio Recordings
Encoded: 128 Kbps MP3

These four massive CDs consist of material done in 1965 at Abbey Road Studios. There are Alternate Mixes, Acetates, Mono Mixes, Demos and so on. The year 1965 was the year that the Beatles began to experiment in the studio, expanding their already wide range of music. Considering the fantastic albums
'Help' and 'Rubber Soul' that were released in that year, this collection is invaluable. The Tracks here shine a light on 1965 as no other collection from 1965 can. Please note that the 'Think For Yourself' on CD #3 is an Uncut EMI Tape Reel and is over 15 minutes long.

FM Radio Broadcast

Track List: (Artwork Included)
1. Baby, Please Set A Date

4. Who Do You Love?
5. Boogie Chillin'
6. I'm Wanted
7. Ride On Josephine
8. Reelin' And Rockin'

Runtime - 55 Minutes 35 Seconds

There is a sudden cut and fade-in at the 9:46.86 mark of Boogie Chillin' due to tape flip on the original tape.  I used Sound Forge to attempt to splice the two parts of the song together.  There is some slight tape wear
noticeable at the beginning of the first song and at the point of edit during Boogie Chillin'.  It's minor and only lasts for a second or two.-ORIGINAL

Note: (From the first uploaders description)
These tracks, also known as the Axis Outtakes, nearly never made it past Kathy Etchingham's dust bin.
Luckily they were retrieved and ended up in an auction at Sothebys in December 1981. Since then they have turned up in various guises on collectors lists and of course have been treated to the usual shabby mangling on various bootleg releases. This is the the best version from the masters on DAT. -Original

Gene's junk?! Nasty and dangerous ..blah!!

This was one of those photos that you could find during the 1970's.
After reading each of the original KISS band member's biographies,
The very first thing that came to mind was....
No one in their right mind should be within a 100 miles of Gene's junk.
Yeah, that's gotta be one of the nastiest places anywhere.
 Blah!
