Soundboard Recording

Track List: (Artwork Included)
Disc 1:
1. Intro
2. Over the Rainbow
3. Kill the King
4. Mistreated
5. Greensleeves

7. Catch the Rainbow

7. Do You Close Your Eyes
8. Over the Rainbow

The Band:
Ronnie James Dio - Vocals
Richie Blackmore - Guitar
Cozy Powell - Drums
Bob Daisley - Bass
David Stone - Keyboard

Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow is a fantastic soundboard recorded at Koseinenkin, Osaka, Japan. This is a direct copy of a double silver disc I have entitled "Starstruck".
There is no record label on the discs and the only identifying features on both discs are that they are labelled "78117".  It was culled from a concert on 17-1-1978 recorded at Koseinenkin, Osaka, Japan. This recording is brilliant, and it doesn't get much better than this. Both Blackmore and Dio are really on top form in this show, and Blackmore's guitar playing is exceptional. Sound quality 9/10.

Big Log

This is a four album set of vinyl broadcast discs used to distribute the King Biscuit Flower Hour to radio stations affiliates in the USA for weekly broadcasts. Long sought after by Zeppelin & Plant fans alike, only part of this short series has been available from the broadcast tapes until now. The quality you'll hear here surpasses that of previous "leaks" of the SBD material, especially the definition of the high frequencies.
Does anybody remember.... dynamics? The range on this recording is spectacular - nice and open - no clipping.

Absolutely ZERO compression, limiting or EQ applied to this transfer. This is CLEAN.
The only thing I did to this was meticulously remove any noticeable pops or crackles. I did NOT just run a generic pop filter on the entire set of audio, as that usually harms the recording in an unpleasant way.
This set runs as the broadcast did, with one exception: I removed all but one Honda Shadow commercial (they were all exactly the same and played at EVERY break). All other commercials are left in place. This entire transfer is precisely tracked so you can easily skip parts you don't want to hear. There are 43 tracks total, filling 3CDs:

01 - CD1 - 1984.01.29 - Part 1 - Bill Minkin - Introduction.flac
02 - CD1 - 1984.01.29 - Part 1 - Honda Shadow.flac

Also included are hi-res scans of one of the four records, the accompanying documentation - cue sheets, scripts and a letter to the radio station program directors from David Knight, the producer of the show.
This set was rescued from a record store by Krambo199 with real money. The album covers are plain white (since this set was meant to be played once for broadcast and discarded) and the price sticker from the record shop is intact. Without disclosing what he paid, let me assure you that Krambo199 is being very generous in offering this to the community for free - especially since it is so rare. From what I can tell, this is the first time it has been available in full, including the "D" sides that feature cuts mastered for broadcast in regular rotation, outside the King Biscuit show. -Original

This is an Italian silver bootleg that was produced in 1992, Disc number ACS058. Different versions of this show have appeared in the past.. This is not the complete show. This is an incredible sounding bootleg, it may be the entire concert, I am not sure, but just for the KMKMKM tracks it ranks up there as one of my favorite live discs. Excellent quality, it may be a radio broadcast, I am not sure. I definitely recommend this
for people interested in a good Kissing Tour boot. This is a wonderful boot from the KMKMKM era. The sound quality is top notch, except for Why Can't I Be You fades out at the very end. Of all the boots from this era, this is the best sounding. Review by Kurt. <-(Info taken from musicfanclubs.org).
